Laser therapy is a painless, drug-free treatment that reduces pain and promotes healing for patients following surgery or for those who have an injury or suffer from chronic or acute conditions such as arthritis.
Laser therapy uses low level lasers to stimulate the natural healing capabilities of the body’s cells. This particular therapy is effective at promoting healing on a cellular level as well as reducing inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. It can also accelerate tissue repair and cell growth, improve circulation and nerve function, reduce scar tissue formation, and help the immune system fend off infection. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved, allowing your pet to return to normal activities.
Laser therapy is recommended for pets with the following conditions:
Wound healing, including:
- Post-operative surgical incisions
- Contaminated or infected wounds
- Burns
- Snake bites
Skin conditions, including:
